Virginity damage costs man a whopping K10, 000

A Lusaka man has been ordered by the Chilenje Local Court to pay K10, 000 virginity damage and impregnating someone’s daughter.
Muyambango Muyambango, 57, a retiree of Bauleni Township sued Moses Nyambe, 27, of the same area demanding compensation.
Muyambango said in August last year Nyambe deflowered his daughter and made her pregnant.
He said they called Nyambe and charged him K10, 000 to be paid in installments.
“Since then, he has not paid anything or communicated to us. I am the one who has been maintaining his child because he lives in my house. He doesn’t provide for the child,
“I have sued him so that he compensates me for damaging my daughter,” he said.
In defence, Nyambe admitted that he damaged Muyambango’s daughter last year in August.
“I told them that I am not able to pay that amount. I told Muyambango that I will be giving support to the child,” he said.
The court ordered Nyambe to compensate Muyambango with K10, 000 with the first installment of K500 effective August.
