Introducing rapper MDouble

Michael Mwepu musically called MDouble is a new Zambian artiste aiming at making music with social impact.

The Ndola-born and raised budding rapper whose first professional single was only released last year is Keen to offloading his very debut album later this year.

To this effect, the singer working with Swit Sky has released a number of singles to prepare for his album.

“I started rapping as a kid with my brother, we used to perform in street corners,” he says in emphasizing why he chose rap music.

MDouble explains that he was mainly inspired by Kopala Hip Hop star Chef 187.

“Locally, I was inspired by Chef and internationally by Jay Z, Tupac and Lil Wayne,” he says.

“I started doing music and continue to pursue it because of the Joy, as well as other emotions that come from people who listen to music. For me music is a medium through which you can communicate as a hip hop/Rap artiste.

 MDouble explains that his stage name not only stands for his full name, it also represents the extra effort he puts in everything he does and wants to achieve.

MDouble records most of his music from Sweet Home Records in Chunga, his own music label.

Some of the songs making rounds include “Ghetto Life,” “Reason to Brag,” and “Bad Girl”.
