Teulings beach volleyball returns

THE Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) teulings beach volleyball returns this weekend with over 12 athletes set to take part in the league games.
The tournament that takes place on Saturday will attract athletes from Makeni, Munali, Garden, Chazanga and Chawama who will battle it out for a place in the grand finale to be hosted later this year.
And OYDC programmes officer Mellissa Majonga, has urged people from communities surrounding the OYDC to troupe the Centre and watch the boys and girls compete.
She said that the league games will start at 09:00 and end at 12:00 hours.
She said members of the public should take advantage of utilizing the facility at a fee as they come to watch the games on Saturday.
The Teulings Youth Sports Challenges engages young talented boys and girls between the age of 10 and 18 in five sports disciplines which include Netball, Swimming, Hockey, Beach Volleyball, and Taekwondo.
The
tournament that runs from March – November is sponsored by Coen Teulings,
Chairman of the Merifin Capital in Belgium.
