NAPSA up 2019/20 soccer season preps

NAPSA stars have regrouped and resumed training ahead of their 2019/2020 soccer season.

Club public relations officer Gwen Chipasula said that the Zambia super league side regrouped on Wednesday following a two weeks break at the end of the transitional season.

Chipasula said that all the players had reported back to training with an exception of those that had been released as well top scorer Burundese Laudt Mavugo who was out on national duty.

She said that the club would announce all the newly recruited and released players once all the paper work was done.

“The team resumed training on Wednesday) ahead of the 2019/2020 league Season which kick-starts in August,

“Once all paper work is done, the club will announce players signed, those released and those who will return to the club after being loaned out,” she said.

Chipasula further said NAPSA would tomorrow embark on a two week training camp in Livingstone to fine tune the players ahead of the season.

NAPSA missed out on a their continental target last season after it finished fourth instead in stream B of the transitional league.

The club however had a consolation of producing a league top scorer in Mavugo who topped the league on 11 goals in his first season.
