A UNIVERSITY of Zambia (UNZA) library cleaner has been sued in the Chelstone Local Court for insulting his mother-in-law.
The case is before Chelstone senior local court magistrate Charity Milambo.
Mwanida Ngoma, 38, of Kabulonga sued her son-in-law Victor Silomba, 26, of Kamwala South for insulting her.
She told court that Silomba insulted her a lot despite having a child with her daughter.
“He usually insults me. This started way back and what made me come to court is the recent case which happened on June 8, 2019. He called me a prostitute.
“He came to my house, removed a toilet sack and defecated on it and left,” Ngoma said.
She said she wanted the court to teach Silomba how to live with people.
“I want him to stop insulting me for no reasons,” Ngoma said.
Key witness Veronica Nyoni, Silomba’s girlfriend, also told the court that Silomba usually insulted her mother.
“He started way back, but the recent case is the one which brought him to court because it was more intense,” she said.
Silomba denied the allegation saying he didn’t have any words for his mother-in-law.
The court deferred the matter to a later date for continued hearing.
