THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) technical directorate successfully conducted the FAZ D licentiate qualification in Western Province at the weekend.

Seventeen candidates attended the course.

CAF designated instructors Chris Chibuye and Dean Mwiinde are running the rule through the prospective coaches.

The three-day training was held at Kanyonyo Secondary School in Mongu.

So far the training has been conducted in Lusaka, Eastern and Southern provinces.

Candidates are being examined in theory and practical examinations.

FAZ has embarked the coach training drive as part of expanding its grassroots programmes.

Technical director Lyson Zulu is heading a team of CAF designated instructors who are designing a manual for the next round of CAF licence training that will be conducted soon.

The manual has to be approved by CAF before the training is sanctioned.
