Child exposes illicit affair in court – as Choma landlord is accused of defiling 14-year-old girl

AN ELEVEN year old girl who allegedly uncovered an illicit affair told the court she found her aunt’s 35 year old landlord dancing on top on her 14 year old sister.
The Choma Fast Track and user friendly Court for Gender Based Violence has found 35 years old Chomil Breweries Warehouse Supervisor, Actor Sikabeko, with a case to answer in a matter he is accused of defiling a 14 years old Grade 7 pupil who happens to be his tenant’s niece.
This is a case in which Sikabeko of Choma’s Mukasa Residential area stands charged with Defilement contrary to section 138 Chapter 87 of the Penal Code of the Laws Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that on dates unknown but between March 5 – 12, 2019, Sikabeko allegedly had carnal knowledge of a girl believed to below the age of 16 in his Shop.
When the matter came up for ruling before Senior Resident Magistrate Idah Mupemo, the accused person was before Court.
The Court said after analyzing the evidence on record and submissions from both sides, there was evidence that the girl is below the age of 16 and two people saw her enter the accused persons shop.
“I am satisfied that a case has been established against the accused person to the required standard by the State and I hereby put him on his defense,” Magistrate Mupemo said.
Earlier the Grade 7 pupil narrated before Court that the two were in a love relationship and the accused told her not to tolerate young boys as they would just release sperms in her.
She said on the March 6, 2019 between 21:00 and 22:00 hours when her aunt who is a police Officer was away for School, Sikabeko pulled her into another room within the shop and started fondling her breasts as he removed his trousers to knee high and defiled her.
She further narrated that on the second sexual encounter they were found in the act by her 11 years old young sister who testified before Court that she saw Sikabeko dancing on top of her sister and she said she would report him to her Aunt.
The matter has been adjourned to 30th July 2019 for Defense while Sikabeko continues to remain on Police Bond.
