‘Eating’ virginity costs Matero man K15, 000

A 24 YEAR OLD man has been ordered to pay K15, 000 for virginity damage by the Matero Local Court.
Arnold Chilima, 73, of Matero sued Cleofus Sondashi, 24, of Matero for ‘damaging’ his daughter’s virginity in 2017 when she was in Grade 9.
Chilima told the court that he had called Sondashi on several times but he never responded.
“When she was pregnant he was called and he accepted responsibility. He even asked us to keep our daughter but promised to come back and pay but he has not done do since then. We want him to pay K2, 000″.
In defence Sondashi promised to pay the money.
“My people have been busy that is why we haven’t gone there but he should reduce the charge to K1, 500,” said Sondashi”.
But the court ordered Sondashi to pay K15,000 in instalments with the first one effective July 31.
