Chirundu youth feels for the vulnerable in society

A CHIRUNDU youth Michael Samishe has appealed to fellow youths in the districts that have an opportunity of earning money to bless the less privileged and vulnerable in society.

Mr. Samishe a customs clearing agent at Chirundu border said there was power in giving because when one gave, they attract more blessings from God.

 He has reminded the people that God blessed us to bless others.

The Sun caught up with Mr Samishe following his gesture to buy new clothes from PEP Store for two vulnerable boys who has asked him for an empty bottle of water.

Mr. Samishe said he has made an effort to meet the guardians of the children so that he could sponsor them to school because they told him that they would like to be in school.

Currently Mr Samishe is sponsoring five school children who were doing grade four in Chirundu and looking after three vulnerable families, one child in Kapiri Mposhi and three children in Mkushi district.

He has implored other vibrant youths to help the needy in society according to the biblical principle says blessed is the hand that giveth than the one that taketh.

Chirundu district council secretary John Mwanza has appealed to councilors to engage people and build a recreation in the district

Mr. Mwanza said finding a donor to construct modern sports infrastructure like the one recently commissioned at Chiawa primary School basket ball court in Kafue district will help to keep children in school.

He further said the increasing number of street kids in Chirundu is worrying.

Meanwhile, Chirundu central ward councilor Chrispin Malesu has advised the relevant authorities to get engaged and ensure all street kinds are taken back to school.
