ABOUT 100 goats destined for Tanzania from South Africa have been sent back by Zambian authorities at Chirundu border because the transporter did not have a permit to do so

Ministry of fisheries and livestock Chirundu district coordinator Mr. Noah Sinkala confirmed the development to the Sun that the goats could not be allowed into Zambia without proper documentation.

Mr. Noah Sinkala said that those transporting animals both internationally and locally should make sure that all documents and procedures were followed to avoid such inconveniences.

He said the goats had since been sent back to South Africa so that the transporter could follow the right procedure in moving the aninmals.
