Police hunt killer father

A 30-YEAR-old father of Mpika who stepped and killed his 8 months old baby is on the run and police have launched a man hunt.
Brian Kangwa of Mupila Village in Chief Chikwanda’s area in Mpika District of Muchinga Province is alleged to have killed the infant on May 24 during a fight with his wife.
ZANIS reports that Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Joel Njase who confirmed the incident said the murder was reported to the police by a Mr Joseph Masangauko, 57, of the same Village.
The police commissioner said that Kangwa had a fight with his wife Benandeta Musangauko, 24, early that morning prior to the death of their sibling.
Mr Njase said that the couple had a fight after Kangwa refused to accompany his wife to clean up a shelter used as an Under Five Clinic in that area.
He said that while the couple fought, the baby crawled near to his father who unfortunately stepped on his head leading to its untimely death. Mr Njase said that the infant thereafter was unable to breathe properly and died
