Kafue Celtic, Blades eye national division one

WITH their dreams of making it to the super league shattered, Konkola Blades and Kafue Celtic are now eyeing the national division one league.
Celtic’s 3-0 win over Young Nkwazi, courtesy of the visitor’s failure to travel for their week 27 league game, made Celtic break into the national division one qualification threshold.
Nkwazi could not travel to fulfil the week 27 fixture which according to football rules awarded the home side with 3 points.
The development pushed Celtic into the top 4 on 48 points the name number with Young Green Buffaloes who have an inferior goal difference to the former.
Meanwhile Blades’ 1-all draw away to Indeni FC helped the Chililabombwe-based side ease into the top four of Division one zone two.
The draw moved Blades into national division one thresh-hold on 49 points with three games left for them to play.
A return to the Super league was now out of reach for Blades who are 8 points behind the pacesetters Kansanshi Dynamos and all the Chililabombwe side can now do is to focus on cementing a place in inaugural national division one league.
According to the newly restructured league,the top teams in each Zone qualifies for promotional play-offs to the Super league while teams between 2 and 4 positions in each group will form the inaugural National Division one League.
The rest of the teams in each group from 5 to the 16 will be relegated to the provincial division one leagues.
