We are very happy with the performance of our boys this season as we have set our eyes at the super league Championship, , says Lusaka Dynamos coach Stephen Mwansa.

Speaking in an interview with the Sun sport, Mwansa said that despite losing 6 points in the last two weeks, his team was very much in contention of toping their A stream.

Mwansa said losing points was part of game but that would not deter his team’s ambition of being in contention for the league title.
He said that the team knew what was at stake and also how to recover from a loss of points.

“We are competing for the championship and I think we still have the chances of getting there and we shall know how to recover those lost points,’
“We are still competing and obviously our target is to win the championship,” Mwansa said
Mwansa said that beating Green Buffaloes in a local derby was a very difficult task because the Zambia Army sponsored side did not want to lose the game.

He said that despite Buffaloes having dominated the game, his team was ready for the game and that it worked to their advantage.
Mwansa further said that despite going through some off the pitch problems, his team was still doing well on the pitch and making sure that it was getting maximum points off their opponents.

“’It’s part of the game, we are going through a lot of things but fortunately we have organized ourselves and we are equal to the task now,’’ Mwansa said.

Dynamos beat Green Buffaloes 1-0 courtesy of its Namibian debutant, striker Hendrick Somaeb who scored the lone goal in less than a minute of the game at Lusaka’s Edwin Imboela stadium.

A reverse pass from country man Petrus Shitembi opened up the Buffalos defence for him as he was making his debut for Dynamos and finished the move off in style leaving Fred Silwimba in Buffalos goal with no chance.

Somaeb who has been Namibia’s all-time top scorer with 12 goals to his record, however did not last long in the game as he limped off with an injury and was replaced by Tardeli Ilunga.

The win over Buffaloes takes Dynamos to fourth position on the log with 26 points only separated by goal difference with third placed Zanaco while separated by a point with Zesco United and Red Arrows who are first and second on the log respectively.
