“WE HAVE fought very hard to get close to the top and we won’t lose hope until the end of the season,” says NAPSA stars coach Mohamed Fathy.

The Egyptian born NAPSA Stars coach was speaking in an interview after his team secured a hard fought 2-3 away victory against Forest Rangers on Saturday.

A hat trick from Burundian striker Laudt Mavugo ensured victory for the NAPSA Stars team coming back from a dry and winless two months in March and part of April.

The Burundian striker signed from Tanzanian Club Simba FC, at the beginning of the 2019 season has now pushed his tally to 11 league goals and is now the league top scorer with four games to go before the end of the season.

After Saturday’s win against Forest Rangers, Laudit Mavugo became only the third player to score a hat trick in the 2019 MTN/FAZ Transitional Super League.
The other two are Gozon Mutale of Lumwana Radiants and Tafadzwa Rusike of Zanaco.
Meanwhile, NAPSA Stars coach Mohamed Fathy believes that his team is capable of climbing even further on the super league stream B table which has Green Eagles, Nkwazi, Buildcon and Forest Rangers above NAPSA Stars.

Fathy said that his players deserved to win each and every game owing to the hard work that his team has exhibited this season.
“The boys have fought very hard, they deserver to win everything and we are very close to the top, every thing is possible in football,” he said.

“We shall continue to prepare for the next remaining four games and ensure that we collect the possible maximum points,” he said.
Following Saturday’s win, NAPSA moved to fifth position on the log with 21 points .

The Lusaka based side now faces a tricky one week ahead when they host Power on Saturday, Nkana on Wednesday and Muza the following Saturday with nine points at steak.
