Man nabbed for defiling girl (11)

POLICE in Mafinga have arrested a 43 year old man for allegedly defiling an 11 year old girl.
Maxon Simposya 43 of Chidulika village in Chief Muyombe’s area of Mafinga District was arrested after father to the victim reported the matter on behalf of his daughter.
Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Joel Njase said the incident happened on Tuesday around 11:00 hours at Kabizya village in Chief Muyombe’s area.
‘‘We received a report on Wednesday from a man of Kabizya Village of Chief Muyombe’s area in Mafinga who reported on behalf of his 11 year old daughter of the same abode that she was defiled by Maxon Simposya 43 of Chidulika Village,’’ Mr Njase said.
Mr Njase said the incident happened after the victim was left home with her young sister and the suspect took advantage of the situation and he was caught red handed by another village only identified as Musukwa, who is also a neighbour to the victim.
Mr Njase said police issued a medical report form and that the suspect is currently in police custody and will appear in court soon.
In another development a 40 year woman of Mpika District has been killed in a fatal hit and run road traffic accident.
Mr Njase said the accident occurred on Wednesday at 20:30 hours at Chisengo village area west of Mpika town along Mpika-Kasama road and named the victim as Regina Mutale, 40 of Chisengo village of Mpika District.
Mr Njase said the casualty sustained deep cut on the face, cuts on both hands and bruises on the body and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Michael Chilufya Sata hospital.
He said the body of deceased was deposited in Mpika urban clinic mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
