FAZ division 1 zone 2 side City of Lusaka cannot manage to qualify to the super league but will instead work had to qualify to the National League, says Coach Kenneth Malitoli.

Speaking after his first win against Kafue Ciltic since his appointment last month Malitoli  said he would push hard so that City of Lusaka qualified to the National League.

“We cannot win promotion at the moment looking at where we are. We have 19 points while our friends who are at the top have 30 plus points so we are now concentrating on ensuring that we qualify for National League by finishing among the four teams in Division One,” he said.

The Woodlands -based City of Lusaka beat Kafue Celtic 2-1 in Week 16 fixture at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Malitoli commended his players for their attitude and fighting spirit.

He said the win against Celtic had given his team confidence ahead of their next game against fellow Chilenje-based side Happy Hearts next Wednesday. “This win has given us confidence ahead of our next game on Wednesday against Happy Hearts,” he said.

He urged his players to continue working hard so as to maintain the momentum.
