Girl killed by crocodile in Zambezi

AN 8-year-old girl in Zambezi District, in North-western Province, has died after she was attacked by a crocodile as she bathed with friends along the Zambezi River.
Provincial Police Commissioner, Hudson Namachila, confirmed the death of the girl, identified as Micah Wacha, of Moono Village, in the Lwatembo West area.
The commissioner said that the report of the girl’s death was made by the juvenile’s father, Patrick Wacha, aged 49, of the same residential address.
“The district police received the report of a sudden unnatural death of an 8 year old girl of Lwatembo West by a father, where his daughter, of the same abode, was caught by a crocodile as bathed with her friends”, he said.
Mr Namachila said the body of the juvenile was missing and that the search for the same by the police had continued.
