Warriors maintain unbeaten record

KABWE Warriors have maintained and remain the only unbeaten side after 11 games played in the transitional league of the 2019 Zambia Super league transitional season.
Warriors stretched its unbeaten status in the league after thrashing Kitwe United 2-1 on Saturday in the second game of the return fixtures in a transitional league that ends in June.
The win against United moved Warriors to the summit of the table, replacing Zanaco who lost at home to Lusaka Dynamos.
Warriors have played second fiddle to Zanaco who started on high, winning its first 6 games of the season only to suffer its first loss to ‘Magnificent’ in a tightly contested week 6 league match at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu stadium in Kabwe.
They have now accumulated 21 points recording 6 draws, 5 wins and command first place in stream A with one point better than Zanaco whose 1-3 loss against Lusaka Dynamos relegated the bankers to second position on the log with 20 points.
Defending champions ZESCO United had something to smile at after an way 2-1 win over Nakambala Leopards in Mazabuka, moving into fourth position on 18 points, one less than third placed Lusaka Dynamos with the former having two more games in hand.
Meanwhile Forest Rangers moved into second position of stream B after a 2-0 win over former group leaders Nkwazi who have now been relegated into fifth position after week 11 games.
Ndola based Buildcon maintained their perfect start of the season having only recorded two losses, two draws and 6 wins in their 10 games played with one game in hand.
Buildcon beat relegation-threatened FC MUZA 1-0 in Ndola to maintain their top slot in stream B with 20 points out of their 10 games.
Week 11 games pushed 12 time Zambian champions Nkana into relegation zone on 11 points two more than Muza but the former have three games in hand and did not play its week 11 game against NAPSA stars due to their CAF engagement.
