FAZ cheers soccer fans

FAZ has paid glowing tribute to soccer fans for having turned out in numbers to support both the Under-23 and senior national teams on Sunday and Saturday respectively.

Speaking in an interview with the Sun Sports, FAZ president Andrew Kamanga said that his association valued the loyalty that soccer fans had shown the nation teams.

He said that his association would ensure that it continued repaying the soccer fans with positive results by winning all its games.

“We want to put on record our sincere gratitude to our soccer fans who turned up in numbers both on Saturday and Sunday, so hats off to the soccer fans and we value their loyalty, we shall repay them by ensuring that we win,” he said.

The FAZ chief also congratulated the technical benches for the U23 and senior national teams for the wins recorded on those days.

He said that his executive would make sure that it did everything in preparing the teams for various assignments.

He further said that what was important was to continue building from the positive results posted on the successes of the weekend.

Kamanga said should Zambia beat its next opponent it would be good for the team to go and play at the Under-23 AfCON in November in Egypt.

Zambia beat Malawi 2-0 over two legs played with Fashion Sakala scoring all the goals in each leg to qualify to the last round of the competition to be staged in Cairo, Egypt.
