The rate at which women in Zambia are taking to rugby is extremely impressive, says Coach Sydney Mwansaba.
Mwansaba said that many women not only in Zambia but Africa as a whole were taking to playing rugby in a big way.

Speaking in an interview with the Sun Sport, Mwansaba who trains Red Arrows Rugby female players said there had been overwhelming response from women lately to play the sport.
He said interestingly though, rugby had attracted women in Zambia who have joined clubs affiliated to the Zambia Rugby Union League (ZRU).

“So far so good, now the women rugby is growing at a fast rate, if you see, especially in Africa,’’ he said.
Mwansaba said further that Red Arrows Rugby female team targeted to win the league and all the cups on offer this year after having finished on a poor note last season.
He said that preparation had intensified in readiness for the league and that the team was aiming at winning the league and all the trophies on offer.
“We have just started preparations and we are on track because last season we didn’t do very well and we want to do better this season,’’ he said.
