The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says it is negotiating with possible sponsors for the women soccer league.

THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says it is negotiating with possible sponsors for the women soccer league.
FAZ deputy general secretary, Joseph Chipampwe, says that having permanent sponsors will help make the women’s league a reality.
Mr. Chipampwe said this in Lusaka yesterday.
He stated that the association is currently in talks with two companies for possible sponsorship of women soccer.
He could not however give details of the two companies.
Mr. Chipampwe was responding to a query by The Sun during a public discussion on the way forward for FAZ, held at Best Western Plus Lusaka Grand Hotel on Friday evening, sponsored by the Daily Nation Newspaper.
There is currently no solid sponsor of the national women’s soccer league.
And a Lusaka based soccer fan, Ignatius Shilangwa, says making the women’s league a reality would make it easier for the managers to select players for national duties.
He said lack of a women’s league makes it difficult for coaches to select players for the national team.
