FC MUZA head coach, Dabwitso Nkhoma, has praised his team’s performance against Stream B early pacesetters, buildcon Football Club, in the MTN/FAZ Super league.
The coach said his team came from behind to equalize, 1-1, with Buildcon which was earlier leading the scores in a game played at Mazabuka’s Nakambala Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Nkhoma said that the Mazabuka based outfit exhibited character in the game against Buildcon, giving his technical bench much hope of better results in the proceeding games.
He described his side’s performance as “extraordinary”.
“I am happy with our performance. This was our second game, and coming from a loss, I think this is a good result for us. The game was not easy, but you can see there is improvement. I think the future is bright future,” Nkhoma said.
He observed that, “In the first half we respected our opponents a little too much and they dominated the game but in the second half, we came back into the game, changed the formation and it worked for us.”
Buildcon head coach, Srdjan Zivojnov, also praised FC Muza for putting up a splendid performance against his side.
Zivojnov said that he was impressed with the performance of the Mazabuka side.
“It was a tough game. Muza is a good team. My team needs to work harder and play better football,” he said.
“We have drawn, and this game is now passed. We have to focus on the next game. Muza played well in the second half but we started defending in the second half and failed to contain them hence allowing a late goal,” he stated.
Zivojnov further said, “This is a good team, it is my first time to watch them, but they have a good team and they will go far with the same performance.”
Buildcon surrendered their lead in the 80th minute, when Mandra Muleya’s excellent glancing header cancelled out Mande Badawa’s 36th minute goal to share the spoils.
The Mazabuka based outfit is currently rooted at the bottom of Stream B with one point after playing two games, three points adrift of log leaders Buildcon.
FC Muza will face Green Eagles at home this Saturday in their third match of the season.
