Zambia Information Communication and Technology Authority (ZICTA) director for support services, Mofya Chisala, says consumers should always report any poor services by the network providers so that they take action on them immediately.

Mr. Chisala’s statement comes in the wake of complaints by the residents of Makeni Villa area in Lusaka who have accused network providers of poor services.

Mr. Chisala told Lusaka Sun yesterday that ZICTA would only know about the poor services by the providers if the residents report to it.

“People need to understand that we are not God to know everything that goes on. Let them come report to us so we try to meet the providers why the problem is not being worked on,” he said.

Mr. Chisala said that the consumers have a responsibility to report any shoddy work by the service providers.

“Those who rush to complain to the media should stop because there is a procedure for reporting any complaint against service providers” Mr Chisala said.
