Defiler commits suicide

A MAN identified as Slick Munengo, 28 of Simatwaba ranch in Chisamba district has committed suicide after being caught red-handed defiling a 13-year old girl.
Central Province police commissioner Chola Katanga confirmed the incident to the Lusaka Sun which happened on Wednesday around 20:00hours at Kapelwa Ranch.
Mr Katanga explained that the aunt of the victim Charity Nakaona of the same ranch reported the matter to police.
He said upon being caught in the act Munengo ran away and later drunk a chemical used when dipping cattle.
He said the suspect was later rushed to Liteta district hospital in Chibombo district when became unconscious but died yesterday around 14:40 hours.
“We received a defilement report which occurred on Wednesday at around 20: 00 hours from the aunt to the victim Charity Nakaona
of Kapelwa ranch in Chisamba,
“And the suspect on being caught red handed in the act ran away from the scene and later drunk a chemical used when dipping cattle,” said Mr Katanga.
