Patriots for Economic Progress presidential candidate Sean Tembo has announced that he concedes defeat in the presidential race based on the results announced so far from various polling stations across the country.
Mr Tembo says it has become apparent that this was predominantly a two-horse race between PF and the UPND such that even other presidential candidates who had invested heavily in campaigns have performed miserably.
Mr Tembo who is a first time contender in a general election says based on the results that have so far been announced, it appears inevitable that it will be a tight race tipped in favour of the UPND candidate .
And Socialist Party Presidential candidate Dr Fred M’membe has also conceded defeat in the election, going further to congratulate UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema.
Dr M’membe says he has pride in the election campaign that he built with members and supporters of the party which he says was not about one election but Zambia.
