Let us remain “One Zambia, One Nation” even after tomorrow-GVT

Government says it expects political parties will respect the law and allow only their designated election and polling agents to remain within the polling stations to avoid causing disorder during tomorrow’s elections.
And Government has emphasized the need for peace before, during and after voting and reminds all citizens that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure that peace continues to exist before, during and after the elections.
Secretary to the Cabinet Simon Miti says security has been heightened in some which have been identified political violence hotspots while about 95 per cent of the rest of the country will have regular policing by the Zambia Police Service.
In statement, Dr Miti also says appealed to the Zambian people remain one even after tomorrow by remembering the one Zambia one nation motto.
He also says government remains committed to adhering to the provisions of the Constitution and ensure that, in accordance with Article 47 of the Republican Constitution, every citizen who has attained the age of eighteen years, and is registered as a voter, votes tomorrow.
He has urged employers to ensure that no employee is disfranchised on account of being at work.
