HAKAINDE Hichilema’s imported violent cadres in Eastern Province braved the cold night on Thursday when owners of the lodges refused to accommodate them for fear of being victimized and attacked.
The UPND cadres who were ferried from across Southern Province were made to sleep in vehicles as several lodge owners refused to accommodate them for fear of having their properties damaged.
Patriotic Front (PF) provincial secretary Joseph Kolosa said in his desperation to hoodwink the Zambian people that they he was popular, the UPND leader ferried cadres all the way from Southern Province to Eastern Province.
Mr Koloso has accused the UPND of having resorted to violence to intimidate PF voters from voting after realizing that they had no numbers to win the forthcoming general elections.
According to a post on his Facebook page, Mr Hichilema alleged that he was blocked from proceeding to Malambo Constituency in Mambwe district by police on Thursday where he was also teargassed.
And when contacted for a comment, Eastern Province Police Commissioner Geza Lungu said he was busy and could not make any comment.
