The cancer diseases hospital says it has resolved to attend to serious and advanced cases of cancer due to continued malfunctioning of two radiotherapy machines.
Cancer disease hospital senior medical superintend Lewis Banda has disclosed that the hospital currently has 3months backlog of cancer patients after the radiotherapy machine broke down in late last year.
Dr Banda explains that two of the 3 machines are down putting pressure on one machine which is operational.
He says although the hospital has a huge backlog of patients on the waiting list, it will not over load the equipment but only accommodate a limited number.
