151, 200 J & J covid19 jabs in

Zambia has received the first consignment of 151, 200 doses of the Johnsons and Johnson’s covid19 vaccine under the COVAX facility.
And Witnessing the arrival of the vaccine, Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Kennedy Malama says the donation of the 151, 200 doses of the Johnsons and Johnson’s covid19 vaccine by the united states of America through the COVAX is indication of the strengthened long standing relationship between that country and Zambia.
Dr Malama says the United States of America has remained committed in supporting Zambia government through many programs in the health sector.
Meanwhile Dr Malama has assured the united of states of America of transparency and accountability in the utilization of the vaccines.
And Dr Malama says the country has recorded nine hundred and seventy one new confirmed covid 19 cases out of the 5,682 representing 17 percent positivity.
He further says the country also recorded 23 deaths.
Meanwhile speaking at the same event, United States of America Charge de affairs David Young says the United States government is committed in ensuring there is enhanced support to Zambia towards covid19 response.
Mr Young says more support is being given to Zambia apart from the donated vaccine.
