Socialist Party 2021 Chisamba Council Chairperson Candidate killed

Socialist Party 2021 Chisamba Council Chairperson Candidate Stallon Chobeaged 29 has been murdered and burnt by unknown people in Kapiri-Mposhi.
Central Province Commissioner of Police Chola Katanga has confirmed the incident.
Mr Katanga says the incident occurred between 9th July, 2021 at unknown time and 11th July, 2021 at 16:00 hours in the bush near Ngweleni village in Chief Chipepo’s area in Kapiri-Mposhi.
Mr Katanga explains that Phillimon Moya aged 26, a pshyco social counsellor reported through a phone call on 11th July, 2021 at 23:00 hours that his friend was found dead in Kapiri-Mposhi where he had gone to do some business.
Mr Katanga says police visited the scene of crime and when the body was inspected, they noticed that the throat the throat was slit using a sharp instrument as the spillage of blood was seen around the scene.
He says the police officers suspected an inflammable substance was also used after murdering him.
Mr Katanga says the body of the deceased has been collected and deposited in Kabwe General Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem and not arrests have been made as investigations have been launched.
Meanwhile, Socialist Party Spokesperson Rehoboth Kafwabulula who also confirmed the deceased being a candidate in the August elections says the party could not confirm whether the murder was politically motivated or not.
Ms Kafwabulula has described the incident as tragic but the party is waiting for feedback from police in terms of possible suspects and what could have led to the death.
