No school is safe for reopening warns NAQEZ

The national Action for Quality Education in Zambia NAQEZ says that schools in rural areas should be re opened are misplaced.

NAQEZ executive director Aaron Chansa says after witnessing all the new cases and deaths of covid 19 been recorded no school is safe for re opening anytime soon.

Mr. Chansa says in as much as NAQEZ recognizes the colossal damages that the prolonged closure of schools will have on pupils, preserving the lives of learners and teachers if far more important.

He says  as the covid 19 situation currently stands in Zambia re opening of schools anytime soon would be catastrophic and must never be entertained.

Mr. Chansa says the virus is in all the districts of Zambia and no area is safe.

Meanwhile Mr. Chansa has raised concern that no resources are being channeled towards preparing schools for re opening.

Mr. Chansa says if the time for all schools to open come it will be cardinal the institutions to have all the necessary PPE’s.

He has since called on government to set aside funds strictly for the procurement of PPE’s in all schools across the country.
