Government urged to rearrange its marketing strategy to allow the diversification agenda in the agriculture sector

Development Researcher Choolwe Beyani says government needs to rearrange its marketing strategy to allow the diversification agenda in the agriculture sector to achieve intended results.

Dr Beyani says there is need to have a marketing strategy that targets specific crops to capture not only the local market but also the international market.

Dr Beyani has cited crops such as agriculture and cassava among others which Zambia has potential to grow in abundance but are not being marketed adequately.

He says marketing farmers produce should also include livestock to help push the diversification agenda to achieve the results needed.
