Civil Society for Poverty Reduction CSPR has observed that the health of the poor population is under comprise due to threats of unstable food supply as a result of the rising commodity prices reflected in the inflation rate.
CSPR Board Chairperson Partner Siabutuba says the lack of stable food supply possess a risk of the disease burden especially among the poor population who may not afford nutritious and balanced diets.
Mr Siabutuba says the most important economic stabilizer is food supply in the populace hence the need for the country to have affordable food supply systems in place if the population is to have the anticipated good health.
