President Lungu directs police to enforce covid19 guidelines during campaign

President Edgar Lungu has directed the police and the ministry health to ensure there is enforcement of the covid19 public regulations during campaigns ahead of the August 12 general elections.
President Lungu says the police should do this without fear of favor as it is their duty to protect lives.
The Head of State said this during the PF 2021 election campaign launch this morning under the theme leaving no one behind with the focus on economic recovery.
And President Lungu has announced that PF will not be holding the famous campaign rallies in the August 12 general elections due to the covid19 pandemic
He says the PF shall follow the official guidelines by the Ministry of Health so that citizen’s lives can be protected.
President Lungu says there will be no one to vote if politicians become irresponsible by hold huge public gatherings.
He has since urged his opponent to show responsible by avoiding public rallies which have been found to be super spreaders of covid19.
Meanwhile President Lungu has asked the Zambian people to give the Patriotic Front-PF another mandate come August 12 as it has delivered unprecedented development across the country.
And President Lungu says he is aware that the country is economy has been hit badly but is confident that with the implementation of the set economic goals as highlighted in the PF 2021/26 manifesto the economy will rebound.
