Movement for Multiparty Democracy-MMD president Nevers Mumba and his running mate have successfully filed their nominations applications with hope that the former ruling party will bounce back into power come August 12, 2021.
Dr. Mumba has settled for his vice president Reuben Sambo as his running mate in the August 12, 2021 general elections.
And speaking after filling his nomination papers, Dr. Mumba says he will continue with the legacy of late president Levy Mwanawasa such as zero tolerance of corruption once elected as President.
Dr Mumba says time has come for Zambians to remember the old days of the MMD when the economy was stable and people were able to afford all the necessities without fail.
He says he has decided to run for the Presidency so that Zambians can have options of voting for a leader who believes in morality.
Dr. Mumba has since appealed to the Zambian people to vote for the leadership that has been tested through different battles.
And Dr Mumba has called on political leaders that have successfully filed in their nominations applications to co-exist as holding peaceful elections begins with the top leaders.
