Provinces battle for 4 slots

THE stage for the Eden University National Division One promotion play-offs following the draws conducted in Lusaka at Football House yesterday.
The games will be played from September 28 to October 4 with teams camped in Lusaka.
Ten provincial champions will battle it out for the four slots vacated by Mumbwa Medics, Sinazongwe United, Chindwin Sentries and Zambeef.
Group A has City of Lusaka (Lusaka), Livingstone Pirates (Southern), Petauke United (Eastern), Malalo Police (Northern) and Blessings Football Club (Central) and will play their games at Lilayi grounds.
Teams in Group B are Konkola Blades (Copperbelt), Trident FC (North Western), Real Nakaonde (Muchinga), Luena Buffaloes (Western) and Kashikishi Warriors (Luapula).
The top four teams will qualify to the FAZ/Eden University National Division One league.
FAZ has camped all the 10 teams in Lusaka to provide a fairer platform of concluding the high-stake fixtures.
Games will be played on a round robin format with the top two teams in each group earning qualification to the National Division One.
Last week, last-minute checks for the venues for the promotional play-offswere conducted at Lusaka’s Miller and Lilayi grounds.
All the teams will be accommodated in Lusaka ahead of the play-offs within the two venues within touching distance.
