A BODY of a man partially burnt on the face and chest has been picked along the road in Chifulo area of Mkushi.
Central province police commissioner, Chola Katanga confirmed the incident in an interview.
Mr. Katanga identified the victim as Douglas Kajobe 47, of Kalubula area.
He explained that the man was suspected to have been murdered on Sunday or Monday this week.
Mr. Katanga said on Sunday around 16:00 hours the deceased was seen in the area alive and was only discovered dead on Monday around 06:00 hours along the road.
He said police visited the scene and found that the body had bruises on legs, hands and shoulders.
Adding that the face and the chest were partially burnt using his pair of trousers he was putting on which they covered him on the face.
“Body has since been deposited to Luano mini hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial,” Mr. Katanga said.
Mr. Katanga said no arrest has been made yet.
