KAOMA IN WITCHCRAFT SCARE
Written by Millennium on October 6, 2019
WITCHCRAFT practices in Kaoma are reportedly scaring away Voter Education Facilitators (VEFS) engaged by the Electoral Commission of Zambia ( ECZ ) in area.
One of the facilitators Mr Micah Simonda explained in an interview how he suddenly woke up in the morning only to find strange cuts in his palms.
His female counterpart alleged that unknown men were having sex with her in her sleep.
As a result VEFs were allegedly fleeing the area in fear of witchcraft related attacks.
A check conducted by ZANIS at Namimbwe Primary school confirmed that the facilitators stationed there had since relocated to other areas.
Teachers at the school also confirmed the alleged witchcraft attacks.
Several facilitators in other places had equally complained of demonic attacks at their respective stations where they had been assigned to conduct voter education to the electorate.
Most VEFs have since relocated their camps to other areas for fear of being attacked in the night.
Voters in Kaoma will be going to the polls on October 10 to elect a new council chairperson.
