It will be moment of reckoning this weekend as Zambia’s continental envoys take to the turf in their various CAF fixtures.
The three continental representatives posted mixed results in their first leg games a fortnight ago.
Sensational Zanaco are the only side carrying a comfortable lead from their first leg encounter played in Mauritius against Bolton City in a CAF confederation second round qualifier.
The Bankers hosts Bolton City this Saturday and will be hoping to consolidate their two-nil lead to make to the next round of the competition.
And Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba declared his charges ready for the game.
“We have prepared ourselves very well and we ready for the game, we won’t under rate (Bolton) despite having beaten them in Mauritius ,” Numba told the Sun sport.
Bolton arrived in Zambia on Thursday night ahead of today’s fixture were they hope to overturn a two nil deficit against the bankers.
Champions league representatives Green Eagles face a mammoth task when they face Primiero De Agusto way in Luanda, Angola.
Eagles lost 2-1 to Agusto at the Nation Heroes Stadium two weeks ago and will be hoping to overturn that result for them to have any chance of making it to the lucrative group stage of the competition.
Anything less than a 3-0 win will spell doom for the Zambian side as they will be ejected from the competition to drop to the confederation cup which was a second tier league.
In the other fixture, Zambian champions ZESCO will be looking to utilize home ground advantage when they take on Young Africans of Tanzania at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
ZESCO drew one-all in the first leg and scoreless draw for the Ndola side will propel them to the group stage of the competition.
