SAUDI ARABIA READY TO INVEST IN ZAMBIA

ZAMBIAN Mission in Saudi Arabia has called on Zambians to take advantage and exploit the many sectors of investment Saudi Arabia is extending to Lusaka.

Zambia’s deputy ambassador to Saudi Arabia Huzaifa Jada said the existing bilateral ties between Zambia and Saudi Arabia were opening massive investment opportunities that Zambians ccould tap-in.

The deputy Ambassador among many cited the exportation of goats from Zambia to Saudi Arabia as a sector that Zambians ought to exploit as a huge business venture.

Mr Jada was addressing the media when he received a delegation from the Saudi Export programme at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka yesterday,

Mr Jada urged farmers in Zambia to take advantage of the deal and increase their goat population before the Saudi Arabia-Zambia goat deal materialized.

“The agreement on the exportation of goats has advanced, we as a country need to have enough stock as the demand for goats to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is so high, once it starts we need to ensure that we have enough animals for the next consignment,” he said.

In this regard, Mr Jada said, the Zambian government was working at increasing stock to enable the country to meet the market demand for goats in that Kingdom.

And delegation leader Mohammed Al Tombkti said a number of investments had already been made in Zambia.

Mr Tombkti said they were looking at expanding further corporation with Zambia in various fields such as agriculture, energy and livestock.

While in Zambia the two member delegation will hold workshops with various financial institutions that promote agriculture, , hold meetings with various ministries and line government institutions.
