MAN TOO IMMATURE TO HANDLE A WOMAN RECONCILED WITH WIFE

THE Boma Local Court in Lusaka has reconciled a man of Mtendere whom it said is too immature to handle a woman and advised the couple to live in harmony.
This was heard in a case in which Phales Phiri, 23 sued her husband Debby Malupande for reconciliation following ceaseless disputes in their marriage.
Phiri told senior local court magistrate Mpundu Fwambo that she and her husband got married in 2015 and stayed well for some time until 2017 when him impregnated another woman.
“We told his mother what happened but she refused to listen. My husband has seven girlfriends that I know of. Last year he proposed another lady who came to tell me he wanted to marry her,
“That woman told me my husband has a lot of money and even opened an account for her.
She even had the same hairstyle I had and was even wearing the exact shoes that I was wearing. It hurt me so much especially that she told me we were not the only two women in my husband’s life,” she said.
She took her husband to Victim Support Unit (VSU) because of those issues but he never changed.
“After that he had another girlfriend who also approached me. We had a family meeting to talk about it and after the meeting I went back to my family where I was supposed to stay for two weeks,” she said. She said her husband did not go to get her from her parent’s home and she stayed there for eight months.
“My husband also doesn’t love our second born daughter because when I was pregnant he told me to abort but I didn’t want to,” she said.
She however said she loved her husband and wanted the court to reconcile them.
In defence, Malupande told the court that his wife lacked humility and always wanted to be equal to him.
“She denies me sex and that’s why I looked for other women. I don’t have seven girlfriends as she says. They are only three,”
“My wife stayed at her parents for this long because I was expecting them to bring her. I still love her and I married her to have somewhere to rest, she denies me sex,” he said.
The court found that Malupande was too immature to handle a woman. The court however counseled the two and reconciled them.
