SPRINGFIELD Hockey team is geared for this year’s Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale to be held in November at the OYDC, says Coach Kelvin Mbulo.
Mbulo told the Sun sport that his hockey side had been participating in the Youth Sports Challenge since 2011 and was happy that some of the players in the national team were a product of his team.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the Teulings Hockey League which the OYDC organized on Saturday and in which his team participated. And speaking during the same tournament, Springfield player Esau Kaira, expressed confidence that his team will during the grand finale reign supreme looking at its recent performance in the Youth Sports Challenge.
The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge is an organized league which involved five sports disciplines hockey, netball, swimming, taekwondo and beach volleyball. The challenge targeted young athletes below the age of 17 and was supported by Coen Teulings, Chairman of the Merifin Capital in Belgium.
