ZAMBIA national soccer team stand-in coach Aggrey Chiyangi says he is sure of victory ahead of Sunday’s 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) first leg encounter against eSwatini.
Speaking after Thursday afternoon training session at the Prince of Wales Sports Complex in Mbabane, Chiyangi said the team was in good shape ahead of the clash with the Sihlangu and would be going for an outright win.
Chiyangi said there was high levels of fitness in his squad and attributed it to the ongoing Zambian league from which all the players he picked were actively involved.
He said morale was also high in the camp and that the team was looking forward to having a good game having had enough time to prepare.
“We are looking forward to a good game. The goodness is that the league is on and all the players we have picked are active at their clubs which helps us to maintain their fitness levels,
“So far everyone is looking good. I think the days that we have are enough to be ready for the game,” he said
Chiyangi’s team is now complete with the late arrival of Adrian Chama and Clement Mwape who joined camp on Thursday evening after having featured for Zesco United on Wednesday in a re-scheduled week two league fixture.
eSwatini qualified to the final round after beating the Palancas Negras of Angola while Zambia had to overcome the Zebras of Botswana.
