PREMMELO De Agosto coach Dragan Jovic has described the CAF Champions League game between his Zambian team, Green Eagles, as a tough despite his side coming out as victors.
Speaking after his team beat Eagles 2-1 at the Heroes Stadium, Jovic said he had expected a difficult game despite scoring two goals.
He said his team had aimed at creating and making use of its opportunities in the first half to keep possession of the ball.
Jovic said he had respect for his opponents because they still were a very good team despite losing the game.
He said the result had given his side the much-needed confidence heading into the second tie.
“Every game we play to win and this result has made us more confident for the second game, and we wouldn’t change our style of play. So in the second game we will try to win,” Jovic said.
Green Eagles will be travelling to Angola for the second leg slated for September 28.
The winners over two legs will book a spot in the group stages of the CAF Champions League while the losers will drop to the second-tier Confederation Cup.
