WITH only one week remaining before the Southern Province investment Exposition opens, 75 per cent of its preparations have been done, says Provincial Minister Edify Hamukale.
Dr Hamukale has however assured that by next week, everything would be in place.
The minister told journalists in Livingstone yesterday that there would be a carnival festival for everybody to take part as a way of stimulating community participation.
Dr Hamukale said that during that same carnival, a brass band had been arranged to entertain the people.
“On the day after the Litunga’s arrival, we will hold a carnival to stimulate local participation. We need everyone to participate,
“So far, the preparations are at 75 per cent done and we will be set and ready by next week. We are finalizing and everything will be in place,” Dr Hamukale.
And Dr Hamukale said that during the Expo, the province would sign a twinning memorandum of understand (MoU) with the West Mashonaland Province of Zimbabwe.
He said the MoU would help the two provinces share and exchange a number of issues of development nature.
