ROTARY CLUB INVITES 13 INDIAN HEALTH SPECIALISTS TO ZAMBIA

THE Rotary Club of Lusaka Midtown has invited a team of 13 specialist doctors from Rotary District 3054, Rajasthan, India, to come and conduct free health examinations at Lusaka’s University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
According to a statement issued by Past District Governor (PDG) Ravi Devalia, the exercise has also been supported by all Rotary clubs of Lusaka and District 9210.
Mr Devalia said the specialists will conduct ears, nose and throat (ENT) examinations as well as dental related checks.
“The specialist have arrived today and will be conducting these examinations on ENT and dental on the 13th of September at UTH Clinic 6 and dental department at no cost to our people,” said Mr Devalia.
He called on the public to come in large numbers and benefit from the services that will be offered on the day and learn on ENT and dental health.
Mr Devalia also revealed that the specialists would, before conducting their services, hold meetings with the first republican President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, the Minister of Health Dr Chitalu Chilufya, the High Commissioner of India to Zambia Mr. Ngulkham Gangte as well as the Mayor of Lusaka, Honourable Miles Sampa.
“I would like to congratulate the Lusaka Midtown Rotary Club for spearheading this very important exercise and all Rotarians for their support in making it a reality.
“ We look forward to more such events that benefit not only ordinary Zambians who can’t access such services because of cost implications but the underprivileged in society,” said Mr Devalia.
