Former FAZ executive committee member Blackwell Siwale is concerned that soccer administrators in Zambia have been given more credence in the media than the players themselves.
Siwale said that it was worrying and of concern that people should know more about administrators instead knowing the footballers.
He said it was becoming a danger for administrators to appear in newspapers everyday as fans were now being denied an opportunity of knowing more about soccer on the pitch.
Siwale said in other countries like England fans knew more of players than they did with officials.
“The danger of Blackwell Siwale appearing in newspapers every day is that fans,
“In Zambia you will know more of the ethics committee holding more press conferences and banning whistle blowers, so we administrators must move away from appearing more in newspapers particularly on the negative side but if it’s development yes we should appear and explain our programmes,” Siwale said.
Siwale
said there was need to move away from constantly talking about administrators
to instead be advocating for games to be played like the upcoming match against
Congo Brazzaville.
