CHIEF CHIPEPO SIAMALOMO’S WIFE DIES

LATE first Chief Chipepo Siamalomo’s widow Juliet Chipepo has died at the age of 89 after a long illness.
Ng’ombe Ilede ward councilor Ms Sharon Palicha who announced the passing on of Ms Chipepo, said the chief’s wife’s died local Mtendere Mission hospital yesterday morning.
Councilor Palicha who confirmed this to the Sun in a telephone interview expressed sadness over the death of Ms Chipepo.
She said the funeral was at Pambazana village of Chipepo Chiefdom in Chirundu district.
She said burial arrangements would be communicated to the public later.
Meanwhile Ms Palicha has also bemoaned that the farmers in her ward were losing cattle everyday due to the dry spell.
She said government must quickly intervene and help the farmers.
Meanwhile a Chirundu resident Duce Nosiku has posted on his Facebook page a picture of a dead cow due to the dry spells which
“The problem of drought is real, this helpless cow is surrendering to thirst and hunger, the problem is more than a rumour in Kayuni”.
Kayuni village is in Ng’ombe Ilede ward in Chipepo Chiefdom of Chirundu and that was where council chairman Mr Robinson Sianduba and councilor Palicha live.
