MPIKA’S CHIEF MPEPO PROMOTED

CHIEF Mpepo (Luke Mandosa) of Mpika District, in Muchinga Province, has been promoted to the position of Senior Chief Mwamba of Kasama District with immediate effect following the death of the predecessor, Chileshe Brown Kalolo last year, the Bemba Royal Establishment has announced.
And the establishment has announced that Maxwell Hick Machiko takes over from Mr Mandosa as the new Chief Mpepo of Mpika.
This is contained in a letter from the Bemba Royal Establishment to the Muchinga Provincial Traditional Affairs Oficer.
The Establishment stated that the Bemba Royal Establishment, together with the hereditary councilors (Bashilubemba), made the appointments.
“I wish to advise that after the demise of the late Mr Chileshe Brown Kalolo (Senior Chief Mwamba) last year, the Bemba Royal Establishment, together with the hereditary councilors (Bashilubemba), have promoted Mr Luke Mandosa to the position of Senior Chief Mwamba of Kasama District, in Northern Province, with immediate effect,” read the letter in part.
Mwinelubemba Chitimukulu has since invited the Ministry of Traditional Affairs, and the council secretary for Mpika to his palace on Friday for official notification.
