2 IN COURT FOR STEALING 8 BULLS

A BUSINESSMAN and a butchery worker have appeared in the Choma Magistrates Court for stealing eight bulls worth over K100, 000, the property of Nkanga Farms.
This is in a matter in which Magusu Cheelo 41 and Brasmo Sipatunyana 33 both residents of Choma’s Overspill Compound stand charged with one count of stock theft.
Particulars of the offence are that on August 11 in Choma, while acting together the two stole eight bulls valued at K102, 000 the property of Nkanga Farms.
When the matter came up for plea before Senior Resident Magistrate Idah Mupemo, the two accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The court granted Cheelo and Sipatunyana a K5, 000 cash bail each in their own recognizance with two traceable sureties in the like sum.
The matter comes up on September 3 for trial but the two were remanded in custody until bail requirements were met.
